Blog #6

My use of technology has been very routine this week it hasnt changed to much compared to others. I have used my laptop for various uses such as facebook, youtube, downloading movies/music and shopping. I have also used my ipad for facebook, games and music. What i have used a lot more this week though has been my Ps3. I have mainly played fifa online. Due to the olympics being on i have been watching the soccer and really been enjoying it, and because of that i have felt an urge to play fifa more. I have been playing the game against the AI, friends and online against friends and randoms aound the world.

The Last Derby

The 4th of Feburary was another day i was looking forward to. It was going to be the last derby of the season. It started with the pre game at the imperial hotel on the corner of bourke and spring st. We split up and chanted across the road. Two flares went off and we left for parliment station. Once down there we got on the train and chanted kicked the dorrs and smashed the roof for drums. Once we got off the train a flare went off again. we marched to AAMI Park and when we in the underpass another went off. we continued through Goschs Paddock and another 3 went off that was 7 on the march. They frisked us twice and searched bags once. Once in there we put up our banners and chanted for 90 minutes the game ended 0-0. After the gae we left through Goschs Paddock in a big group and we confronted but 3 cops and Melbourne Victory Supporters. A flare was thrown at us and a brawl broke out once stopped the cops sprayed capsicum spray one one guy for no reason and his shirt was soaked in it, and he couldnt open his eyes the yarraside got there badge numbers and complained about them. Overall it was a good day/night and im looking forward to the next Melbourne derby.

Brisbane at home

Melbourne Heart were 3rd on the ladder and had an important game against 2nd on the table Brisbane Roar.
Everyone was buzzing and looking forward to it. We all left from the Imperial on the corner of Bourke and Spring st 45 minutes before the game and went to parliment station. We hopped on the train and marched to AAMI Park. When we got there there was around 7000 people waiting for the game to start, when kick off aproched us we were reading to chant. But we all went quite when a penalty was given to brisbane. We all watched anxiously to see if the keeper would save it and he did!!! we went loud and out of controll and before we new it we scored. we jumped on the seats and bam someone behind me had ripped a flare the smoke was everywhere and it lit up the terrace and it was thrown on the field. About 5 minutes later security came and took someone away for the flare. She copped a 5 year ban from AAMI Park. I spoke to her later and she said it wasnt worth the 5 year ban but she will stop rock up to the derby on feburary and 4.

Ocean Grove

from the 31st of december till the 7th of december i stayed in ocean grove with my mate ezz and his mum and brother. in ocean grove we ran into some people we knew around the area. we mainly went to the beach, played cricket and went down to geelong while we were there. when we were at the beach we went boogy boarding, skim boarding and got dumped by waves. it was real good becuase the waves were really high while we were their. The only negative was there was no internet or phone reception. also ezzas little brother would get bored and annoyed me and ezz. but it was still alright because we could still kickback and relax while ther

Thailand

on the 29th of November mum, dad and I went to thailand. Our flight was at 11 am and we arrived around 5-6pm in thailand. the flight was 9 hours and an absolute pain. upon arrival we had to go through customs and it was very strict their as usual. once we got through we had a car waitig for us to take us to our resort. When we arrived we checked in unpacked and went to dinner as it was around 8pm. After having dinner i went to the markets bought a few things and we went back to the resort. when we got back we went to sleep as we were tired from the flight across. The next morning we wee looking foward to breakfast because their always good in thailand. every morning was the same for about 2 weeks had brekky went to the pool and then went to the markets the locals were very demanding that we buy from their store after i had bought a few things i would go back and we would have lunch. after lunch we would relax i would jump back on fb and then go for a walk around and buy some stuff. The best part of the trip was going to the thaiboxing kids were fighting from the age of 12 we saw 3 knockouts  and after the boxing there were drunkin aussies and they brwaled outside it was funny we got back to the resort around midnight.

Melbourne Derby

On December 23rd 2011 one of the most anticipated matchs of  the season had arrived for the A-League and i was looking forward to this more than i was for christmas. It was a day/night where their would be chanting, flares and a great soccer game would be watched. But their was always negatives behind the positives their would be brawling and nothing would stop it. The game was an 8pm kick off so myself, Aaron, Ezz, Sean, Ben, Russo,Adam,Luca and Ricca met at the pre game at 5pm. The pre game was held at the imperial hotel on the corner of bourke and spring st. All of the Yarraside met their before the game.At 7pm the march started with a police escort 500 people walked down the esculators of parliment and we chanted all the way to richmond station as soon as we got off the train a flare was ripped and we marched accros goschs padock and we were escorted to the stadium where we were frisked searched twice and bags were searched. Before the game we had a speech from the cappo and we erupted and started chanting we then put up our banners and we went mental. When Victory went up 1-0 we sang three little birds by Bob Marley and soon enough we equalized and a flare went off in the yarraside. We all stood on chairs inclluding my friends and I. 2 minutes later we scored again. The next half we scored again and went up 3-1 the victory fans went quite as we chatnted "What a waste of money" towards Harry Kewell. Late in the game Hernandez scored but we won 3-2 after te game we left in numbers across Goschs Padock and Victory fans threw 2 flares at us but my mate threw them back and a brawl ignited the the cops came in with the calvalry and broke it up and 2 minutes later it started again on the road(swan st) it stopped when capsicun spray was used and the Yarraside went to Richmond Station as we left to go to flinders st we then all departed our own ways and went home it was fun action packed night and i am looking forward to the next derby
